However, unlike water coolers maintaining air coolers is less taxing. Also, this type of cooler does not require a mechanical room or cooling tower to function smoothly. Due to a space crunch and shorter life-span air cooled chillers in India are not as popular as water cooled chillers.

Water chilled coolers, due to its smaller size and longer life-span is the most preferred type of dehumidifier in India. It can be kept in smaller places and can be used for small places too. Moreover, lack or restricted air flow does not come in the way of the smooth functioning of this type of dehumidifier, unlike air based coolers. Maintaining water based coolers may be a difficult task. However, it is worth it, as this type of dehumidifier is not only economical, but also long lasting. One can choose between the two dehumidifiers based on how appropriately it shall suit the needs of the user and room size.
